Is this university right for you?

Best suited for

Last-resort / late application window; students seeking maximum admission flexibility; those attracted to coastal student life; early transfers

Not recommended if

You are selecting on cost-quality basis (Plovdiv or Trakia dominate); you need proven GMC/USMLE pathway (no evidence yet); you are comparing with Medical University of Sofia (cheaper + vastly more alumni); you want any established alumni network

Overall assessment

(Bulgaria's newest and most expensive English medicine programme, launched 2023 with zero graduates. Modern facilities and exceptional admission flexibility are real positives — but €10,500/year for an unproven 2-year-old programme at a comprehensive university is very difficult to justify when Plovdiv, Varna, Sofia Medical, and even Trakia all offer lower fees with decades of proven outcomes. A late-window safety option only.)

Considerations

  • Most expensive medicine tuition in Bulgarian cohort (€10,500/year) — without any track record to justify premium over cheaper, better-established universities
  • English programme only started 2023 — no graduates yet
  • zero confirmed GMC alumni
  • WDMS listing unconfirmed for this specific faculty
